What are the six steps to setting up a Compact Glove Box (830-Series)?
STEP 1: Check gloves for any tears or cuts before using. If there are any, you will need to replace the glove or gloves. To install the gloves, place the beaded end of the gloves arm around the groove on the glove port ring. Use yellow tape and wrap it three times around the glove port ring. (On top of the glove bead.) Make sure that there are no wrinkles in the tape. Then carefully place the large steel glove port ring clamp around the taped assembly. Tighten the worm gear so it is snug, but not so tight that it crushes the glove port ring. STEP 2: Carefully remove the white top section of the unit. If necessary, clean the inside of the white top and clear bottom and walls. Make sure the black gaskets on the top and the access doors are clean. STEP 3: Place all large pieces of equipment into the bottom portion of the unit. Plug in your electrical devices. STEP 4: Carefully place the white section on top of the main section. Make sure the holes for the knobs line up and the two sections are aligned. Thread the knobs into their respective holes using a "criss-cross" pattern. Be careful not to cross thread the knobs. Initially only partially tighten each knob. After each knob has been started, back track to the original knob and finish tightening using the same "criss-cross" pattern. STEP 5: Clamps may or may not need to be adjusted. To adjust, loosen or tighten the two (2) nuts on the bolt. Do not over compress the clamps or gaskets. STEP 6 (optional): If you ordered a special model with a vent outlet, attach your house exhaust hose to the top exhaust (3") outlet. Standard units do not have this. Your system is now ready for purging.
